Long Island’s Best: Young Artists at the Heckscher Museum of Art, the most prestigious juried competition for high school art students from Suffolk and Nassau counties, features extraordinary works of art in a professionally mounted exhibit in the Museum galleries. Visitors are treated to exceptional work from talented emerging artists. Now in its 21st year, Long Island’s Best received a record number of student entries and jurors took on the challenge of selecting works for the exhibition.
Long Island’s Best: Young Artists at the Heckscher Museum of Art, is the only one of its kind that provides students the unparalleled opportunity to exhibit their artwork in a prominent museum and to be featured in a full-color exhibit catalog. This year, all of the entries will be seen in a digital display in the Museum for the entirety of the exhibit. Museum Hours: Wed – Fri 10: AM to PM; Sat & Sun 11 AM to 5 PM.
